About me

My name is Laurie and I am an artist of indigenous origin.
More precisely; I am part of the Cree Nation and I am proud to be a member of the ID1N (First Nations Identification) entrepreneur movement.

I have always been attracted to jewelry; especially those that are handmade. It’s unmissable when I come across an artisan’s kiosk; I take the time to look at each piece; like I was in a museum! I always told myself that one day, I would like to learn how to design a collection to my liking. It was in 2021 that I decided not to wait any longer and to combine my passion for jewelry with my creative side.

TUKNUT is actually a little word that I used affectionately and with humor; to refer to my indigenous friends and family members and which became my nickname.

I assemble with care; each of my TUKNUT jewelry collection; in my workshop located in Gatineau. I like working with stainless steel for its quality and durability; as well as with semi-precious stones, wood and crystals; for their beauty, their colors and their originality.
